There is one thing preventing us from doing that right now. Loading times. Some things in the game take very long time to load and we sort of know where the issue is. It is not a quick fix but would require quite a lot of backend work to save data in a different way. If we were to expand the map right now, people would build much larger airports and then we would get a lot of complains about load times.
