Airport CEO Beta 3 released

Reported bugs with walls not showing up expect in planning mode. That is when built, toggling planning mode off causes the walls to disappear. Also in the menu at the bottom the Planning Mode toggle button is labed “toggle terminal” in the pop-up.

Now I created new save.
However, when I zoning the international it seems very slow and show not responding.
But the background music still playing.
I checked my computer performance CEO just need around 32% CPU and 30.5% memory. I using i7-7700 and 32GB ram.(My total performance are running 50% CUP and 58% RAM respectively.) Seems it is not due to the computer configuration.

So I started on a new airport and since I’m not cheating money on this one I started using the planning tool to figure out where everything should go.

I had many problems. One is that buildings tend to not be built when using the “build planned objects”. After planning out the buildings I used the build planned objects button. But when they where being built it never cost me anything and after I saved and loaded the game, the buildings where never built. They where still in planning mode. Then when I went in to planning mode and deleted the planning. The construction workers went there to delete? The walls. Also some walls became invisible after building and some parts of the planning never disappeared.

Wondering if anyone else having problems?

Also some wishes for planning mode.

  1. Also when you’re in planning mode I would like to see clearer colors. For foundations and walls.

  2. When in planning mode you’re able to delete stuff already built. In my mind in planning mode, you should only be able to put out planning colors and deleting such colors. Not actually deleting the already existing stuff.

  3. When you’re done planning and exit the planning mode and toggle of the view. You can no longer build on the land where there is something planned. I think you should be able to build, let’s you need a fence there for now. But have planned a building there later.

Thank you everyone for your rigorous testing and many qualitative bug reports. As expected, with changes as large as in beta 3, there are numerous rendering issues for various textures and equally numerous issues with the simulation of the construction. We’re looking forward to a week of patching up everything that’s broke until they don’t break anymore with daily updates, starting this evening! :slight_smile:

Agree with this one. With everything very white now, it is sometimes hard to see the difference between walls and windows/doors.

Beta 3.1-4 rolling out now with a bunch of fixes ranging from planning and construction issues to tutorial fixes! :slight_smile:

I find any moving is related to the zoning such as building a wall on a zoned building cell, that require for a minutes for loading.
Am I need to make a report? As I don`t know how to report this problem using the report system :sweat_smile:

new edit: I open a save (beta 3.1-4) and it seems become a infinity loading (After at least a hours loading, I know it is not a infinity). This save I used before under beta 3.1-4 and I did not edit the save by amend the file .

Found another thing with the planning mode that’s need fixing. I started a new game. Planned out the rwy and some taxiway. And that cost me 27/h in operation cost. Planning should not cost anything imo. @Olof I sent a bug report on that.


I thought that was intended as sometimes it takes hours until a bus arrives.

Yeah, It has completely broke my airport. Even rolling back to a smaller save version of it is costing nearly half a million an hour with no possible revenue stream coming remotely close to that.

My operation costs is 1.356 million an hour. Not possible to play with that

looks like operation costs is broken the previous day 83,653 (Beta 3.1-4) 2.7 million (Beta 3.1-5)
then started a new airport build taxiway, runway and 5 stands only and can’t build a control tower as the operation costs is already in 1 m bug report send AECO 36509

A small bug caused a mix up with operation cost and construction cost which is why you get insane operation costs. A hotfix is planned shortly.

Edit: The hotfix has now been deployed!

Will planning mode still create a operations cost? Or was that fixed in this update?

No planned objects should not add any costs. That fix is already released.
