That solved my problem as well. They wouldn’t staff because i first drew the terminal then deleted it. And now i drew it again and assigned staff. So drawing a terminal is mandatory? Also for GA?

No, if jobs happen outside of a terminal employees with no terminal assigned will claim those jobs.

Ahh okey, that’s perfect. Then when i removed the terminal zone completely is should have worked. Anyway i put it back, it is working and it’s cool :slight_smile:
I have more information.
So i built Ängelholm-Helsingborg Airport IATA: AGH
As a tribute, and i enabled the realistic international option.
I currently have 14 airlines singed.
I have two gates open. One small stand and one medium, I am getting no domestic flights, it’s almost been 24h in game.
Is there a something more i can provide you? Or some more information? :slight_smile:

Will employees with no assignment help out everywhere or do not do anything in a defined terminal?

This might be helpfull. Otherwise you have always to adjust the staff setting when you hire new employees.
Or you add an option when you hire new staff that you can already select their terminal.

Also i’m wondering about, if i zone a terminal, assign all the staff i have. Then with them assigned, delete the terminal zone. Do they automatically become un-assigned?

I have not said at all that I am asking to do it now. But that I find annoying the predefined dimensions … if I want to completely cover my path (f. ex. in the lower floors to reach another terminal)., I am perhaps forced to put more “pieces”, for example. I simply drag and do it the size I decide (As happens in another similar game / competitor of Airport CEO) And I don’t think there are predefined measurements for walkalators in reality. MAybe only a maximum size for obvious maintenance reasons. However, let’s talk about other things and abandon this topic

The reason you cannot draw any room over walls or windows in secure or international zones is because there is no zoning under the walls or windows. You cannot create a room over multiple zones.

The walls and windows cannot have zones under them in order for them to separate zones.

So always create your room first then put in walls and windows afterwards. I do this for shops, restaurants, food, bathrooms and airline lounges.

This limitation does not exist pre security because there is no zoning there. I suspect the wall issue is the same reason you can’t zone over an existing bathroom.

Given the way the game works on a 1 metre grid and we want walls and windows to separate zones I don’t think it would be an easy fix. But I’ll leave that with the Devs.

I had that too. But a save and restart solved it.

All the baggage show “generic.key.###” instead of names. Also I loaded a save and all the rooms have been deleted! Also all people are stuck and not leaving the airport.

Completely agree. If they could do it would be a major improvement

Considering what other people request in this forum (cargo, hotels, police, spacecraft), this is called a modest request.

@olaf Sorry to ping you but I’d like to let you know that you and your team have done an amazing job on A35. I played much of the weekend. Sure, I hit some bugs but I’ve got an airport that’s pretty close to filling the map. For such an early stage of this alpha, I’m very impressed with the stability. Bravo!

I totally agree, (Thanks to my airports base in Minnesota) I can’t even simulate using the realistic international settings for all the flights I am offered are to Canada and not anywhere in the US where most of MSP’s destinations are and thus I am forced to make the whole airport international. I hope there will be a fix to this! :slight_smile:

If I want to different wings of the same terminal. Is it possible? Same building but two different secuirty checkpoints to different areas.

After starting a new airport in Experimental Alpha 35, I have noticed that my shops and cafes that I have opened do not open during operational hours of the pax terminal. I have yet to try it with full blown restaurants but this has been going on with my current game.

I have this issue too in experimental. The shop is closed during opening hours and then randomly opens over night before being closed again during opening hours
