I think an update will hep with that.
That would be nice to have the option to turn international off.
I have a suggestion regarding especially larger aircraft, which has become more of a nuisance now with international zones. As a disclaimer, I made an account on this forum just to write this post and I am a fairly new player of ACEO (~2 months), so I am not super familiar with the game’s underlying mechanics. Also, I am not an expert of airplanes/airports, as all my knowledge regarding airports comes only from taking flights myself, so please correct me if I am wrong. Additionally, all of this might have been suggested before but I still wanted to add it to the discussion in case it hasn’t been.
I really like the idea of bases to make flights more realistic as some people suggested, but another thing that can really help in my opinion to make the flight destinations more realistic is having an underlying database in the game with all (or most of) the world’s airports in which it is denoted if they are open to GA, small aircraft, medium aircraft or large aircraft. Then as long as your airport is in range of an airport (smaller aircraft having the smallest range obviously, larger aircraft a larger range) flights can be generated of any type the other airport is open to.
I believe such a database is already in the game (correct me if I am wrong), but the problem is that there seems to be a minimum range at which the airport should be located for each type of aircraft. For example large aircraft always have destinations on the other side of the world, but never close by.
So far I have created two airports in this game; one in Istanbul (Turkey) and one in Jakarta (Indonesia). Playing in Istanbul I have never received any commerical flights from any place in Turkey except for small flights to Bingöl (eastern turkey). In my opinion this is very unrealistic as Istanbul serves as a transfer hub between Turkey and the rest of the world. There should be at least medium flights coming in from several airports around the country and also larger flights from at least Ankara. Realistically, my airport in Jakarta should probably also receive medium or large flights from the rest of the country and Singapore/Malaysia/Australia/Indochina.
Using a database like I mentioned in the beginning of my post should avoid medium or large flights between your airport and a small local airfield, while also allowing shorter distance flights between two bigger cities which is in my opinion realistic as these cities should have larger volumes of passengers. Also it allows the option of having large stands in the domestic part of your airport as I can assume several US airports have. Also it would make it possible to have both medium and large aircraft flying to the same location, which would be realistic in my opinion (between Istanbul and Frankfurt for example). In case the game generates too many short distance flights for bigger airplanes you could possibly alleviate this by giving a higher weight to longer distance flights. My apologies for the very long post, but I wanted to explain my idea properly. I hope my idea will get considered!
new theme song for A35 zones…
sorry I had to
All in fun. I kinda like the colors but I do agree the do not need to turn on every time I build something
snowing off the coast of Costa Rica again

LOOOOOVE The new restaurant feature! They actually sit down and enjoy it for a little before moving on to the gate seating area
There is a waitlist in the waiting area seating ![]()
And the logos just make the airport that much more awesome looking ![]()
Thanks DEVS!! You do great work!
What kind of stands do you have in the boarding section? Small, medium, or large?
3 auto and 1 small @Blackout
Edit. my bad yeah medium stands. but I’m using mostly smaller medium aircraft like CRJs, E170/190, ATRs, BAE146 & Q400… so lower pax count. Thanks @VOID
Think he means stand size, and they are medium
Lounges
couple of things about lounges.
Assigning Contract to a lounge but any business class pax goes in any lounge…
I noticed that passengers from any contract/airline are going into the lounges regardless of the contract you assign to the lounge. Doesn’t make sense to assign a contract/airline to a lounge if that’s the case. However… BIG HOWEVER! lol. I do kinda like this for now because that means all business pax will use the lounges I create because sometimes I have multiple contracts for 1 airline so I would love to be able to assign multiple contracts to one lounge like a check back in stead of just selecting one contract. PLEASE PLEASE ![]()
Lounge Room zoning with windows
Also. I had a lounge that worked fine, open up an all but then I decided to expand my lounge with a balcony. Because of this I had some window that were in the lounge zoned room. The caused the lounge to never open up. I zoned the room the first time before the windows were there. But the second time I tried zoning the room after they were there and its wouldn’t let me.
Therefor zoning a lounge is allowed over walls but not over windows. Can you devs please include windows when zoning a lounge?
Lounge Room zoning over bathroom
ALSO, can we please zone over bathrooms for a lounge. You can zone a lounge and then zone bathrooms after but you cannot zone a bathroom and then zone a lounge over it after.
I hope all these things are possible. Im not sure if any of these are bugs but if they are please let me know and ill report it.
regardless, I love the lounge feather. Makes the airport so much cooler!!! Ill leave you with my lounge with the balcony.
Cheers ![]()
Ps. I did add the windows back after the lounge opened up. Not sure if it will open up next time after it closed over night but if it doesn’t ill report that as. bug for sure and let you’ll know. Also the reason why I added the balcony inside the lounge is because I had a smaller balcony that was outside the lounge because you cannot make more than a rectangle for a lounge. So I made the balcony large so I could include it. When I had the balcony outside the only way you could get to it from the rest of the terminal was THROUGh the lounge and I had non lounge passengers going through the lounge to sit on the non (lounge) zoned balcony. This is where I ran into the window issue when I included the lounge zone room with the windows inside of it.
Update: well it looks like if you add windows after it has been opened the lounge will stay open and reopen the next day. So there is that.
The new zone types lounge and international zones do not like existing windows. That makes drawing of international zones also a bit tricky. I think thats a bug as it works with all old zone types.
For inspiration, can anybody recommend an airport that has separate terminals for domestic and international flights? Unless I’m being incredibly dense, I don’t recall domestic and international passengers being separated in any airport that I’ve flown through.
Melbourne, Sydney and Auckland are three of the top of my head.
Atlanta International Airport (ATL) also has a domestic and international terminal now that I think about it. ![]()
A lot of European airports have such separation between international and schengen area flights. As i recall Schiphol for instance has both international and schengen piers. With different security levels. Also Prague has this distinction between terminals 1 and 2.
Thanks everyone!
No problem! What airport are you making @tomprice1606?
There’s been a change to our Jira system which has affected bug reporting, we’re on it now and it should start to work again within a few hours.
I have no idea what that means but okay.
I agree with a few people the Int terminal I love but If you fly International you have to show your passport at the departing airport before boarding…so when you land your still in a secure area After customs you can go into domestic terminals or exit…so why the separation arriving passengers should already have shown passports before boarding right? this explains why my peeps were all stuck at the air shuttle stops they landed and acted like they could not pass into the BLUE zone…next question do they need to be zoned international too? my suggestion is make it like the security…Assume all incoming have had passport security done and just need to exit .this would fix the split in and out needing different zones. a people picker up would be nice too to move them stuck peeps… I would like to click the plane and see all who is supposed to be getting on the flight too…fun overall but a little tweaking needed…
All Australian? They clearly have a thing about not mixing with foreigners
Show him some respect mate.
