Airport CEO Alpha 33 released (The Big Bird Update)

Aussie time I take it

I love the Queen of the sky, and I thank you and your team for implementing this aircraft into the game @Olof and @Fredrik. I do have a question about the runways though. Why are we just replacing runways instead of just extending the runways to fit the larger sizes of aircraft wanting to operate at our airports?
Thank you and keep up the amazing work you are doing for the world.

Hey guys!
I’m on 33.7-4 and the notifications about passengers not being able to find a way just keep popping up. They get resolved after a while on their own. Wasn’t this fixed?

This ONLY happens with passengers who arrive at the airport through the subway

It’s very rare that with aspects as complex as pathfinding there’s a magic solution that fixes every potential issue, so “wasn’t this fixed” most likely don’t relate to your particular issue. You’ll need to file a bug report with the save so we can test it in action and see what isn’t working!

Alpha 33.7-47 has now been deployed to the default branch.

yah that would be great, i have a lot of airlines to mod with 767

It doesn’t look like you have used sidewalk in between your terminal and the subway stations.

Yeah, that’s it, tarmac tiles are not walkable by passengers.

:man_facepalming: Stupid of me! Thanks @Fredrik @Olof

Unable to Resave game under new name,

Looks like your mac denied you saving the files, have no other reports on so not sure what went wrong.

Also, will we be able to see how much passengers we served passengers per 1 month 2 months 3 months 4 months 1 year etc when A34 comes out our passenger traffic statistics and stuff like that would be really really cool…

For some of the planes I can’t understand the max capacity. In reality the A320 and the B737-800 have nearly the same size (full eco) with 180 vs. 186, but here it is 150 vs. 170. For two planes nearly the same size in real life it should have also nearly the same here in the game. The same issue is with A321 and B757200, nearly the same max. Pax in Full Eco but a significant difference here in the game. Maybe you can have a look at those and adjust a bit?
Also the BAE146 is a bit to big, it can carry only 112 Pax in reality, so the one in the game should be a bit smaller

Even after restart no fix… hmm is your machine working fine?

I’m sure that much of this is going to change with Alpha 34. We will probably have budget airlines who configure their planes in all economy and premium carriers who use business class. But it seems like some of you make a mistake and use the certified exit limit as the maximum passenger number and say an Airbus A380 must have 868 seats. Even for the BAE 146 or the Boeing 767-300 the exit limit differs widely from common configurations. Limits could oly be reached with a 3-3 config in the 146 or a 2-4-2 config in the 763. Both is very very uncommon, and for the 763 even a different door layout would be required but yet it is the maximum certified pax number, although never seen.

Hello everyone! The game crashes again and again from time to time, because it is sucking more RAM than it seems. In my current project, I clearly noticed that the game consumed 9-10 GB of RAM one moment. My computer currently only has 12 GB of memory, but I would love to know if they could urgently optimize the game so that at least, the consumption of RAM was at least half, for the good of all.

I have installed the latest version of the Stable branch, 33.7-47 and it is impossible to play continuously because of the way the game is consuming (and collapsing) the RAM of my computer.

My machine is i7 2600, 12 GB RAM, Nvidia GTX 980ti 6GB and the game is installed on a 480 GB SSD.

I know it may be a lot to ask, but for the next version, I ask you to stabilize the memory consumption, please!

Without further ado, I greet everyone warmly and await a response.

Note: I used Google Translate, sorry for my level of English.
