Airport CEO Alpha 33 released (The Big Bird Update)

Contracts have no signal if Large / Medium / Small planes are on the contract, only jet type numbers. How can you expect people to know it from that?

My large stand does not start “ULD LOADING” … what is that?

For me this one is more a feature than a bug. I can put stairs up from a sidewalk at underground parking lots directly to the terminal above.

Good I’m working on my first mod and it needs some 747’s. Also is it the 400 and 800?

I just added a belt loader truck to my Large Stand and now it works, should the game not tell me somehow that was the issue?

Seems like the aircraft cleaning trucks are still prioritizing distance instead of load, personally I’d like prioritization of load.

I seem to suddenly be getting spinning beachballs (on Mac) which never normally happens.

When I assign service vehicles to parking lots, as soon as they reach the max capacity (7) the vehicle screen shows wrong information. Some vehicles show as not assigned (while they are) and some show assigned to the another (not true) parking lot.

As soon as I free up one spot of the parking lot, (so 6 vehicles) the vehicle screen show all the information correctly.

Does it happen only to me? I tested in multiple airports and it always happens. I’m on the experimental branch.

You’re right, it was me who forgot to log that change! :open_mouth:

We decided to change to real-time because we realized if you’ve built a lot of stuff while paused, nothing of that would be autosaved if using in-game time. I’d probably just up the autosave interval to about 15min if I were you! If there is a big interest in this, maybe we can have a look at :slight_smile:

They consider both load and distance. If a certain waste depot is not more than 50% further away than a preferred distance, but has 80% the amount of load that one has it will go the distance to offload there. We can adjust this in the future but I very much enjoy balancing in small steps and avoiding big bangs! :exploding_head:

I’m still seeing times where I have all 4 slots filled at the depo, but more trucks are trying to get into it. but I have an available depo right next to it where they are all empty. So that’s my issue is that there’s a completely empty one for them, but they refuse to go to it.

I finally have a full board of passengers arriving at the airport and checking in for their flight. Good job!! :airplane::airplane::airplane:

Another day, another update. Alpha 33.7-3 had some minor memory leak issues which are fixed in Alpha 33.7-4 rolling out now:

  • [ACEO-19794] - Remote boarding process can in rare instances deadlock due to incomplete boarding checks
  • [ACEO-19822] - Runway spawns world notification icons before construction is completed
  • [ACEO-19874] - Object description panel generates dummy orphaned game objects in root causing potential memory leak
  • [ACEO-19875] - When a tree is removed it can dump its overlay handler causing orhphaned game objects

Can’t do anything without a bug report and a save. I checked one waste depot report today but the one that was chosen by the trucks was both closer and had less waste load as intended.

My point is that, if all 4 slots are full, it should go to the next depo that has an available slot, not just based on load. (I think that you were looking at my save :laughing:)

I’ve noticed irregularities with vehicle assignments but could never figure out what conditions caused it.

Unfortunately the truck does not know what vehicles are parking there until it reaches the depot and there’s really no suitable way for it to know that at this point. Right now you would be able to optimize it through construction of waste depot near areas of stands so that they naturally would spread out.
