"Service Round in Progress" and GA approval

Sooo…enjoying it so far, it has amazing potential, but…

First I wanted to do a little GA-only airport, but despite providing refueling services, my approval rating with GA dropped like a stone, and now barely any GA flight come to my airfield.

And I suspect my next issue is connected:

How does one go about providing service to the flights. I tried to accept commercial flights, but they are stuck on “service round in progress” for ever, despite having a legion of service technicians on the payroll, they just lounge around in the staff room, while the jobs in the list are listed as ‘delayed’.

1. You can enable “Always accept GA flight” on Operations menu. So that if your airport has vacant GA stand, GA will land to your airport.

2. You need Ramp Agents in order to handle service rounds. Service technician fixes stuff at airport.

I managed to keep a 40% rating with GA. Is your runway maintained well? Do you provide fuel services?

I had a ton of ramp agents as well. The problem was that they didn’t seem to find their way out of the staff room to the planes. Somehow managed to fix it, so that’s don with.

As for GA, yeah, I offer refuelling, but sometimes they leave before the refuelling finishes, and the game seem to count that as unfulfilled request. I guess I need more trucks on standby.

How did you manage to get the ramp agents to go to the ramps? I’m struggling with the same issue right now

They seem to have a problem going through security zones. I just carved a little corridor for them, that seem to have worked, if unelegant.

Then how to you prevent the game complaining about holes in the security? Can’t they go through the service roads?

Ramp agents have a bug Devs are wotking on it.

I have no idea. There was no notification, but apparently there’s something very broken about pathfinding. I had a door leading from the staff room straight to the holding area, yet they still refused to use it. We just have to deal with it until they fix things up.

Everyone wanted realism and lazy workers hanging out in the staff room is just that . (Just kidding - hope they fix the bug soon for you!)

Ramp agents have a bug, but there is a workaround (this is via the devs);

Build a door beside the ramp and zone that door as secure. This will allow agents to go to the parked aircraft.

Also, you need a security gate that allows for staff (I built a small one as staff only) to allow them to walk from a normal zone to a secure zone. The security guards want to inspect those brooms! lol Also make sure you have a secure-> non secure exit leading from your secure zone too. Everyone will use that including staff.
