Now that I’ve learned through trial, error, and everyone’s help here - I am building a new airport. I have everything ready to go - but my runways won’t open! I have two runways built side by side. One is for departures only. One is for arrivals only. They each only have one entry/exit point at the appropriate end of the runway. I have this configuration in another airport and it has worked without problem.
However, in my new airport, I cannot open either runway as I keep getting a pop-up saying the runways need two exit/entry points. Why is this error message popping up? How do I get around it?
When did this change? I’ve built previous airports and have runways operating (from the beginning) with only one entry or one exit depending on what it is used for.
if you set the entry/exit to allow traffic both ways and the runway is set to only departure or arrival, your runway can be opened. this is however a bug and should dissappear in the future.
Here is my WIP airport with eight runways. The runways with “D” are departure only. Runways on the left are short grass runways. Four on the right are 800-meter for medium
All have either a single entrance or exit: Departure-only have an entrance-only; Arrival-only have exit-only.
Thank you! This solved the issue for me. Now that I finally learned how to set up one way taxi ways () I had set each runway to have either an entry OR an exit. Once I set it back to both, the runways opened. Crisis averted!
