I think it’d be a neat feature if prisoner transport happens. Sometimes prisoners are escorted from diffrent countries or states are flown in on commerical airliners. It’d be pretty cool if this was implemented and you’d be notified if a prisoner was incoming. If a prisoner was coming there’d be a chance for a shootout as someone tries to break the prisoner out.
In rare cases the most dangerous prisoners are escorted in planes so possible rare occurance for a prisoner flight to come in and you’d need a lot of security to deal with this as risk is very high.
Just some ideas revolving around prisoner transport.
I’d love to hear what everyone thinks and if they have any better ideas or thoughts on this!
Nice suggestion. The devs are now of course fully commited to getting an initial release out the door, but i’m sure that after that there will be time to add new features.
Special passengers and / or flights like this sound great. It would not be much different from i.e. a medical transport
Interesting. As I stated it is a rare occurrence for a prisoner only transport on a plane and very costly they mainly use helicopters. They only use these transport for Max sec prisoners. Other than that if a state wants a guy back and the other country accepts they normally take a commerical airliner and the officer is armed who flys with the suspect. That’s far as I know to my knowledge.
Kind regards

IMHO, family/group pathing is still just a foundation of this though. In particular, because the “transport guards” would have 2 behaviors depending on condition: acting as passenger, and in case of things going south, acting as security.
That being said, AFAIK prisoner transport usually use private planes instead of commercial ones. I’ve remembered one case where a suspect in corruption case was arrested flown back using private jet instead of commercial one.
Not entirely. What would the practical differences be between a guard going after a prisoner and a parent going after a child? In the game you wouldnt know the dfference. Besides, escape behaviour can be added later as a separate case
I will say this most prisoner transport in the US is by ground vehicles by agencies that are better equipt to handle them, due to saftey this is the best option. If a prisoner needs to be flown somewhere it is really rare to fly them on commercial airlines. The US Marshals have their own “airline” to fly prisoners around.
I’m vaguely aware of a flight having operated to deport quite a few people from an immigration detention centre at Glasgow at some point, IIRC possibly deporting quite a few people who were in Dungavel immigration detention centre. However, it’s exceptionally unusual.
