First, This is how airline Schedule their flight:
I think it will be important to have some long haul flight just sitting around for long time. In order to make happen, there will be a need to park their plane other than at the gate.

Hi Alfred, thanks for posting this excellent video. It’s actually already been discussed somewhat in previous threads, as well as regarding long haul flight, hub behaviour etc.

I thought this video was really interesting and wanted to post about it. Another forum user, @salqvist , posted about it in another topic but I think it would be interesting to discuss…
Just to develop the idea further (since I am bored), in the future, once maintenance hangars, etc are implemented, it would be nice to have contracts which include certain number of flights to turnaround, and certain number of flights to be maintained between de-boarding and boarding.
For example: 3 flights to be handled by the airport, out of which 1 on which maintenance to be carried out.
Correspondingly, the flight that needs to be maintained would be shown with a longer duration on the fli…

I have some complaints about scheduling.
They shouldn’t have a turnaround take 3-4 hours
I don’t like having a government restricted flight time. Flights should be able to take/off land whenever.
