[Mod] AirportCEOTweaks 2.4.0: Mod Loader Support!

When the framework is already installed all you have to do is put that file in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Airport CEO\uModFramework\Mods (at least for PC). Then download the Tweaks Aircraft Pack from the steam workshop and you are good to go.


Additionally, you can also install Performance CEO for better performance

Hi, first of all big thank you for these great mods! I just bought Airport CEO some days ago and stumbled over your mods. This add so much to the game!

I have a question about how the flight renewal should work: I have all airlines at 100% satisfaction, but still some flights aren’t renewed and I have to plan about 5 new flights in total per day (I have 40 flights per day, so approx. 10%). Is this intended?
I always choose flights with 4 or more days left, because I know flights with less than 4 days left are not renewed. So this is not the cause.

And - my only very annoying thing atm - planned flights seem to be rounded to 15 min. arrival time. So if I want to plan a flight at 8:20 it gets booked at 8:15. Because I like to have a gap of 25 mins. between the different gates to have smoother runway usage, this happen quite often and manually resolving it every time is annoying. I think this rounding is not done in the base game, without mods I hadn’t this problem. Is there some way to disable it?

Regarding crash - I also encounter it from time to time (using version 2.3.5.322). I think it happens when you open flight planner shortly after loading/saving the game. So since I always wait a bit, crashes reduced significantly. Maybe this helps to track it down.

Last point (for now :slight_smile: ), custom maintenance ratio for runways work great, but it seem to ignore the stands. I set it to 75% and the stands still go done to 10%.

I get the exact opposite. I need to open the planner after loading. As still, my feeling says that the flight renewal is broken and causes that crashes. So as soon as a flight should get renewed, something breaks.

Hi, I’m currently browsing .json in several airline mods and I was wondering about this topic.
Please tell me, do I have to add aircraft types twice (fleet and tweaksFleet) for the A221 or B789 aircraft since both of them don’t have tweaks?

Tweaksfleet overwrite fleet, so if your airline is a mix of vanilla aircrafts and tweaks aircraft, the vanilla aircrafts must be written in the tweaksfleet entry too

You can try testing with one and then the other, see which one is the issue.

No. Just want to watch how gameplay is with this modification. Nothing in particular.

EDIT: I mean how gameplay of realistic airport with realistic flights and realistic terminal system works.

Once the mod is a little more mature I will probably reach out to some creators that have done ACEO in the past…

Hi! Motivated by the post above and after playing for a while with your mod, I wanted to give you a bit of feedback as to my experience with flight genaration (based on an airport in Europe (Berlin) and the south pacific (Tahiti and Fiji ) ).

  • Concerning flightgeneration of long haul flights from international airline companies to my airport:
    Airline companies from countries with a lot of large Airports (mainly China, the US, South Korea and Japan) have no problem generating flights from their home country.
    Airline companies from other countries with only 1-2 large or somewhat large airport (in my case Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, the Phillipines, Indonesia for the airports in Oceania, additionaly for Europe also countries in southern Africa and South America) almost never generate flights. I have gone 5 ingame years without a flight beeing offered appart from the above mentioned countries with a lot of large airports. This led me to change the AirportData json file. I changed the “paxSize”: (0 beeing the largest number and 7 the smallest, and made sure that the “paxCount”: was an 8 digit number) so that each country of interest would have 5 Airports with “paxSize”: 0 in it and voila! i started recieving regular flight options from smaller countries.
  • Concerning flight generation of my countries Airlines from my airport to long haul international destinations:
    For airline companies with a mixed fleet (medium and large) the flight generator seems to work well offering intercontinental flights with large planes and medium range flights with medium planes. For companies that have a fleet of only large planes, this doesn’t seem to work. The destinations offered are mostly flights that can be covered by medium sized planes and almost no intercontinental destinations. I noticed this in both locations i mentioned. While playing in Berlin I had a Lufthansa mod with a fleet of both medium and large airplanes and a second one with only large planes. The destinations offered from Berlin by the only langhaul fleet were rarly other than London, Manchester, Dublin, Istanbul, even with A380. The same phenomenon happened with airfiji and air Tahiti nui in the pacific.

I hope this helps you in improving your mod. I certanly do enjoy playing with it a lot.

This is exactly the feedback I needed right now: I spent some time yesterday reacquainting myself with my flight generation code in preparation to overhaul it. Both situations you point out make sense with the system as it is now.

Yes, the paxsize for countries with small airports it a bit annoying. I am also trying new values at the moment. As example for Air Mauritius or Air Greenland aren’t able to offer flights because the airports are set too small for long haul aircrafts.

I am not exactly sure which one is more important paxSize or paxCount and how they interact. Does anyone know?
By the way, I also noticed that 1-airport countries with large airports such Singapore and Hong Kong (in this game Hong Kong carriers a separate country code) have little problem generating flights.

Im experiencing an issue possibly related to this mod. Whenever i start up my airport the game loads fully but none of my flights are scheduled, i had a full schedule. and absolutely no flights are offered by airlines even though i had all airlines giving me flights. attached are some images of the airport file and what it says. And btw this is the only airport this happens on, all my other airports dont have this issue, its just one in particular.
