Ich will Ihnen meinen ´Friedrich Schiller´ Flughafen in der Nähe von Berlin vorstellen. Ist zwar klein, bringt aber ordentlich Kohle rein. Später wird es wachsen, und zum grüßten, berühmtesten Flughafen der Welt werden!!! Alle Wege werden zu IHN FÜHREN!! XDD!
That time when the city grew tired of BER and actually decided to build another airport altogether… and actually finished it.
Anyway, i recommend you move the GA stands (or atleast some of it) to the western part of your airport so to make room for an eastern (medium) terminal, and maybe unlock the east tile.
Or just keep the GA and use remote stands on that empty place.

Since you decided to bulldoze the GA altogether to place a new terminal, maybe put the GA just southwest of the old terminal with its own runway, so it wouldn’t interfere with the commercial one.
And of course, extend the 09/27 Runway to accomodate jets.
