Locked for building - taxi area

Due to the fact, that taxi room on the airport cannot be upgraded, I removed a piece that had service road on it. After removing the taxi area and the service road, I cant build new taxi room on it. But I can build buildings, roads and other stuff on it. The ground is locked for Taxi area.

I did a bug report on it with save and log > “Remove service road and taxiarea - locked building”

mspaint_2017-10-08_09-00-33

Tried reloading the game?

No, maybe I should do that. I now loaded a previous one and did a CTRL remove on all 3 object and will try again. Get the same building lock on building taxi way on the same location, lets reload the one I used for the bug report.

Save with the “bug”, then reload that version. Probably it will be gone. For some reason sometimes old nodes stay there until you reload and everything gets rebuild. My baggage system gave me that problem once.

did just that, same error

I think the problem in general is; you are allowed to build service road over taxi area, but you are not allowed to build taxi area over service road, so, the service road that is removed, still locks the taxi area.

When I just remove the service road, I still cant upgrade the underlying structure, so, the service road that is removed, still has a claim on the area somehow.

could you make a screenshot with the Zone visuals online? its possible that there is a zone overlayed ( i had the same mistake after i had all service roads covered with secure zone’s. after i removed the roads the zones remained and your not allowed to put a taxiway over a secure zone)

Then that is the problem, I have a secure zone there. I use it to get Ramp agents to my AG stands outside the terminal area, since you can t have pedestrian crossings on taxiways, but you can zone the pedestrian area on service road crossings on taxiways.

Tada!

But you don’t need to remove taxiway to upgrade btw, you can just simply build on top of it.

Yeah, I knew that, but you can not upgrade taxiways that are on top of a road. (even if unsecure)

I had the identical problem, sent along a bug report yesterday. Apparently, roads (service roads at least) set a protected value that isn’t removed with the road tile. Zeroes and ones, man, zeroes and ones…
