Issue with deadlocked service vehicles

Might something to do with the four lane road confusing them… The road system needs a bit of a rework.

It did work for a very long time and then it stopped for no apparent reason

Potentially the issue didn’t materialise for a long time.

You might also need gaps between each cargo bay to fit a service road in there. I don’t think they can drive on the hatched bit if its not their destination.

And because of this all my planes are leaving late and without bags

There is one to the left of the far left one and I try to delete it and it says I can’t because there are bags on it but there isn’t

Also is there anyway to connect multiple cargo bays to baggage reclaim?

@Olof Help! (i will send in a bug report)

Send the save and we’ll look into it. Otherwise try F10 and unoccupy all road nodes!

We will push an expansion to the deadlocking resolving code for 0.21.7 (we test it in increments to avoid major behavior changes) which might resolve your issues in relating to stuck vehicles.

sorry to bother you more but is there any way to get rid of stuck planes? (at the stand)

I’m running 21.7 but continue to have this issue today.

Do you have any screenshots or save where we can recreate the issues you’re having?

Same problem but with busses and trucks

Keep the present drop off and unload areas but make a side road with a new one of each of them on. Close the present drop off but leave it there a while, at the same time OPEN the new drop off and unload area down the side road. Once the workers start using the new one properly delete the existing drop off and unload areas.

New services

What you’re trying to do is have the drop off and unload areas on a side road AWAY from the bus route, not on the bus route itself. That way the trucks turn whichever way they want and present no hazard to the busses and cars. Vice versa too, they present no hazard to the trucks. The bus route should be a loop and it will be more effective. But try and get the drop off and unload on its own approach road first and not on the bus route. Make another side road and checkpoint for your Service Road where the fuel trucks come in. No need to loop the new side road for the drop off, they will turn in the road but not be near the busses and getting in the way. Put them further down that side road than the pic shows, away from the junction a bit.
