Was wondering if the check in desks and that in the terminal would be real life operators. For example jet 2 Ryanair check in desks.
Also I don’t know if they have planned things like car rental desks and bus links for tour operators to hotel for example Thompsons reps etc. Was just a idea
Real life airlines probably won’t happen. The game already has two airlines built in, Stripe Air and CLM (the latter obviously a parody of a famous Dutch airline) which suggests that real airlines won’t be present. In addition, I’ve heard of airlines taking issue with their portrayal in airline simulators before (and I know of one airline in particular who even get very stressed about people even talking negatively about them on open internet forums). So I think that the legal issues surrounding using the real businesses would be too much to overcome. I’d expect the airlines to be fictional, and some to be inspired by real carriers.
I think we know that there will be businesses that will take up residence in your airport via the contracts system. I think I’ve heard somewhere that car hire will be a thing - I certainly hope so. I do like the idea of having tour operators collecting passengers if your airport is an inbound tourist destination.
