In-game Music Player

Description:

An in-game music player to select in-game soundtracks we want to play. If you’ve played Paradox Development Studio game, it’s the same (most modern ones have a music player in-game).

Why it should be implemented:

The in-game music is quite beautiful, but sometimes it feels a bit short, and after an hour or two it’s turned off. It could be great if players have the ability to manually play the music again, or to skip a music and select another music to spark the imagination.

well if this doesn’t happen you can always turn the music off in settings and then play music of your own… just saying

Ya and then just set a loop in Spotify of all the ACEO songs and boom

I agree on that. After a point music becomes repetitive and player wishes to change music.

Alt+Tabbing is not always a good thing so players shouldn’t get dependent on it. In the worst case it can crash the game.

Especially if the player has a huge airport with many pax.

I do that all the time and never had problems. I really depend on that.

If the ingame music gets boring after 2 hours of play…well, I stated before that I would like to have more music from those gifted artists. Just add in about 8 more songs and I would be happy. But yeah, an in-game music-player would be fine as well. Would be a state-of-the-art QoL improvement.

What happened to the good old “music folder variable” where you could define a directory containing all the music you want to listen to?

easy, mute in-game music
go to spotify
play their album

Probably the same that happened with mute the game, give the finger to streaming services and put a CD of your choice on your home stereo. Gone or nobody thought of it. Sometimes, non-streaming solutions are better and conserve net traffic and CPU power. But then…I am old-school.

But your are right - just a folder where we can put music to play is fine as well.
