Exceeding the debt limit

One player is outraged that the game has “many mistakes”, that passengers do not board the planes, but at the same time he has a negative balance of 4,000,000 currency units. And what does the game really allow, being with such debts, to carry out operations ?! Make an overdraft of, say, 100,000, after which there is a game over. Why is he disgracing the game ?! ))

PAX not boarding planes can have many reasons, and almost all of them are caused by the player.
And yes, the game still has mistakes, that is what developers call “Beta testing”. No need to throw ACEO under the bus.
But in my opinion a game over screen wouldn’t help at all, if a player is already disheartened being thrown out of the game won’t change his mind, the result would’ve been the same. And that is how Sandbox works, it just keeps going no matter how high your debt is. Many players like a Sandbox experience, it needs to be in the game. I personally prefer the economic challenge, but I’ve never been in the minus with money, so I don’t know if it means game over, but I think so. :face_with_monocle:
There will always be negative reviews, we’ll have to live with it. Keep your faith!
Merry Christmas and stay healthy. :christmas_tree: :candle: :gift: :moon_cake:

We might look at adding some sort of “bankruptcy” note if you go too hard below the bottom line. As for the criticism (although I do not speak Russian) it’s always welcome and most definitely valid. ACEO is a quirky and sort of ruthless tycoon game with a very steep learning curve and doesn’t always explicitly tell you what’s wrong as part of the game is to analyze the flows and discover that yourself, however in some cases it’s of course bugs and those we’ll continue to patch.

I think it should not check just the value, but also include some grace period / delay when it’s declared game over, like for example a year with no projections of the losses being undone. Airports normally don’t simply close because of making some huge losses, but rather because there are no visions for making higher income than the losses.
