Why in the schedule flight desk displayed actual take-off and landed time? For any airports operational schedule valid departure time and arrival time only!
- Departure time - is actual start aircraft pushback.
- Arrival time - is actual aircraft shutdown engine on the stand/gate.
This system of the time is one for all the world in all airports. Flight delays are considered for this system of time.
So, the takeoff/landing actual time is important ATC services, but not for airport services.
I could be totally off base but I think this actually differs quite significantly from airline to airline. The departure and arrival times stated to passengers really depend on the airline itself. For example, Virgin Australia always cites times as gate to gate (like your suggest) for its domestic flights but other airlines Iāve flown cite the actual take off time to passengers.
Obviously from an operational standpoint this is probably different, but I thought I would add my two cents, irrespective of how anecdotal it is
I know, that all airports services guides by IATA resolution 7220, 1998, jun - dep and arr time - from pushback aircraft/shutdown engines on the stand. Some Airlines can specify the time for passengers, but All Services of the airport are guided by a daily flight plan and tehcnological schedule for every aircraft ground operationā¦
IĀ“m totally on your side.
Only so called āblock timesā are of any interest for the airport (gate/passenger side operations).
Why shouldnĀ“t a gate already get used for the next plane while the one before is taxiing to the departure runwayā¦
@Urantv you want to creata a feature request on Atlassian?
@hawk301 you want to creata a feature request on Atlassian?
Yes, I would, but I donāt know how to do itā¦
āACEO-2599 - Flight planner: Block times instead of take off/landing timesā is submitted
Yes! Only forward - to the Professional version of the Airport CEO! Down with the in-game-work for placement/replacement any shelfs in the shops and cafes! )))
Ah ok thanks for clarifying, that makes sense. I still am not sure how that will work in game since it is important for the player to know when the flight should actually land, for scheduling purposes?
I think the problem is that the Airport CEO inherited the very old logic system, which based on Airport tycoon game (2001). The management of the airport is divided by some types of work. Based things is commerce and operational management. In the ACEO all game-functions are mixed, this is the cause of confusion. If we talk about the system airport schedule, first of all, the necessary setup the sysyem of distribution gates for aircraft. ACEO have is very arbitrary, unreal system of the schedule, because too long interval between flights per aircraft (3-4 hours). Why? Aircraft turnaround time is average between 45 and 75 minutes. I think that developers must to rethink base model of the game. Best of all, if ACEO will be based on real time (1:1), because any acceleration increases the probability of a bugsā¦
I agree on a need for a time scale change. I posted a poll on this subject and most agreed that the time scale needs slowed down. I hope the devs give that a try and see how it goes.
