I have 10 gates and I can only play the game at the slowest speed because anything higher will result in a frame rate lower than 5. I don’t really know much about my pc but apparently I have a GTX 950 graphics card, 16 GB of RAM and an Intel i5-4460 cpu. Could someone explain if these FPS issues are abnormal or just a result of my pc. Thanks

These issues are normal. The game will still receive more optimization 
Do remember that every single passenger is simulated, so with 10 stands you’re talking about 1000 passengers.

I have noticed the last few updates the frame rate is improving, so they are definitely making strides in this area. Expect to have better performance in the coming months.

I’m running this airport with my 4GB RAM laptop in 1x speed, but at last I gave up 
(I don’t like this performance at all)

4gb is a bit low and I do not know what processor you have, but FPS drop is normal problem at this stage of development. It is still at alpha stage and still tweaked a lot.
I believe it will get better over time and we just have to be patient.
Ps. I don’t think my 8gb i7 will do any better with your airport.

mine is i5, 4GB RAM, 2 GB ATI Radeon graphics card, Lenovo Yoga 510

For an airport of that size, you need at least 8-12GB RAM to run smoothly.
Is it usefull to have this many shops? I only have very small shops that reach their targets all the time due to the fact its the only ones I have. But it seems you went to the bigger shops already, do you gain money from that?
not really, bonus target is not a good number as money. but sales are not bad
