The GA Update

This is the first update of Tweaks Core and Tweaks Aircraftframework since long time.
This update brings support of custom aircraft to GA flights, and provides various other helpful and useful features. This update only effects Tweaks Aircraft and Tweaks Core; all other sub-mods are not effected

Major Changelog

  • New Feature: Added support for custom planes on GA flights (when used in tandem with the GA livery pack found on Steam
  • New Feature: Added additional features related to validation for JSON files in mods
  • Code Improvement: Cleaned up versioning, file structure

Beside the GA Livery Mod you need the aircrafts packs you want to be spawned as GA, for example the brand new Piaggio P.180 Avanti found on steam

All the hard code work was done by iSamity and @humoresque and the first GA livery by @dawed and @andyc - more may come

Congrats on the update! I’m excited to see fresh progress on this project. Who knows, maybe there’s a pull request or two in my future.

I don’t know if this just a coincidence but since this new Tweaks update I cannot save any of my airports :(. Additionally there appear some GA aircrafts as ghosts… Is it possible that this new update has caused that?

Ghost aircrafts, you have the GA livery mod?

By ghosts I mean only shadows showing instead of aircrafts. No, I don’t have the GA livery mod. But it seems that the ghosts are aircrafts from this mod.

Can you show me an example?
I set now dependencies on all aircrafts with the GA Mod.

Shadows means, it is loading a tweaks aircraft but it don’t find a livery.

I have noticed that despite not subscribing the GA mod, aircrafts from this mod appear during the game upload.

I need to think how to avoid it, you have PC6 subscribed (or the Megapack) but if GA is not activated it will give you Ghost Livery cause there is no livery available

I may have a solution for those Ghostaircrafts… i will test out to provide for each aircraft a livery in the aircraft pack… will test this out…

According to the saving problem:
our 2 code modders are concerned of the issue and are still fixing

I don’t have the TweaksGA Liveries activated. I am considering resigning from the megapack and subscribing some selected aircraft types only, since I am less interested in GA aircrafts.

that is the point…
the ghost aircrafts are GA Aircrafts, but there is no GA Livery for them so that is why there are Ghost…

(megapack or single aircraft is the same behavour)

i will test out to provide for each of those GA Aircrafts a livery at least so there will be no need for the tweas GA liveries if not want to…

at least ghost aircraft will be fixed soon. Will provide some simple gradiant liveries directly with the pack(s)

What are the perspectives about fixing the saving issue?

High chance itll be fixed by the end of this weekend. However, it shouldn’t persist if you remove tweaks aircraft, and you can do so (relatively safely) from your save and then return to using it when a fix is available. I know it might mess with your contract and you might have to refresh some, but there is no need to start a new airport
