I believe a good feature would be that your game AutoSaves to your drive every 15 minutes then deletes the 3rd auto save after 45 minutes allowing the user to go back if a bug happens or if he just wants to save because he or she forgot.

I have never seen such a save system in any indie/simulation games ever. Yes there is autosave on ACEO but autosaving every 15 minutes and deleting the oldest autosave every 45 minutes is not logical.
The Game Factorio does it and it works brilliantly. In the settings you can choose your autosave time for instance 15, 30, 45, 1 hour all games should have this. 45 minutes is probably more plausibly than 15 minutes.
I did just notice they have a time autosave 
which that is very helpful. Just found it after 10 hours of gameplay.

This system is around in Anno 1404. It has Autosave_00, Autosave_01 and Autosave_02, and loops over them.
