Bug report

I have a picture of the “bugs”

don’t know if it has already been posted.

regards,

Did you also report it from the game menu (press ESC when in game)? Only with a bug report there it will eventually be fixed.

ok will look into that
this including and excluding part of the report seems to be consistently wrong,

Excluding should exclude construction cost, but it does so in including part, this means basically that the text is wrong, I imagine that if your excluding construction is in the green you could have a text like while current expansion is taxing on our cash balance, we maintain a strong and steady operational profit. or something like that based on if construction cost is more then income then taxing, if construction cost is more then 2x income then very taxing etc. but it is flipped currently.

regards,

Hello and welcome to the forum

Developers are using the bugs that are reported in game via in game bug report system. You just need to click “ESC” and click on “Report Bug” button. Then you can fill the necessary lines with optional picture and send it to developers.

This system will also send necessary information of bug such as game setup, screen resolution and even version of game to developers.

Only with a bug report there it will eventually be fixed.

That’s not true @Gerwanese . Bugs that are reported in game have necessary information of bug so developers can take responsibility by them. You can use other ways to report a bug IF bug report system fails or bug cannot be reported by it such as CTD bugs or fail to start the game issue.

There have been several reports about similar issues, so I guess it needs quite a bit of corrections.

Well thank you guys for notifying me of that report bug button didn’t notice it, I have filed the report in game as well.

That’s the best, I think, specially if you want any feedback from the devs. In that case you should post the bug report number here, because the reports themselves are somewhat anonymous and they have no way to link your post to the report wihtout the bug-id…
Unfortunately there is no longer a way for us to track our reported bugs, AFAIK.

In that case you should post the bug report number here, because the reports themselves are somewhat anonymous and they have no way to link your post to the report wihtout the bug-id…

That’s unnecessary. I also don’t understand why people do that

Please just report the issue and leave the rest to the developers. They know what to do with tens of thousands of reports. Basically let them drown in bug reports because that’s what they like it :smiling_imp:

Because nobody knows who reported the bug. So if you want feedback, that’s the only possibility I know.
There are also some examples where the dev asked for the number to be able to give feedback. I don’t think its unnecessary (under some conditions).

Also if you want to add something to a previously reported bug, I don’t see how you can do it otherwise.

There are 2x more bugs that would not be reproduced by loading my save game and looking at it.

  1. When project is done, you select a new project and you are unable to press the + button to add administrators to that project, u have to press - once then u can add admins.
  2. if you have 2x entry points for service vehicles then you get a error if it is not connected right away, then u connect it, but the error is still there (can’t find the path or hasn’t tried to locate it yet. When you reload the game, error correctly disappears. Suggest devs do a path check each time you put down a service road if this error is in place.

Both of these bugs would disappear if you reload the game, and it is hard to screenshot bug 2. I am sure both of these bugs has already been reported, so let’s just chill

Yes, bug reports are always best. You’re free to post them here of course but we tend to only need that when we’re looking at particularly tricky or critical cases and could need some correspondence around them (economy report inconsistencies is not that critical… :stuck_out_tongue: ).

What we do with the reports we get in is that we look for patterns, so even though not every bug report is processed we always scroll through each and every one we get in. Processing each of them through the bug flow would simply be too much work, instead we pick one that represents a specific issue trend and test the solution against multiple similar bug reports. Since we can get up to a 100 bug reports every day where around 75% are duplicates this is a good system for both discovering what the issue is and testing solutions.
