Beta 2.1-1 is rolling out now! Has a few different fixes in it but most notably a slight overhaul to the ATC node occupation system which should hopefully squash the issue with aircraft occupying nodes far in advance causing stalling pushbacks.
Here’s today’s patch notes:
Release notes - Airport CEO - Version Beta 2.1-1
Bug
[ACEO-31364] - Aircraft node occupation system occupies nodes in forward path excessively
[ACEO-32242] - Objects can be built inside restricted jetway area which can cause boarding procedures to deadlock
[ACEO-33648] - Aircraft attempting to pushback to already assigned but demolished runway can not reassign to an active runway and deadlock
[ACEO-34275] - Contractors can in very rare instances freeze
[ACEO-34547] - Terminal cycling in main statistics menu doesn't work
[ACEO-34814] - Medium check-in desk not aligned with grid
New feature
[ACEO-34830] - Climate data now visible when selecting airport location in main menu
Improvement
[ACEO-34787] - Transit structures now reveal passenger capacity per hour in build menues and on relevant panels
For the new update, on the new bar at the top of the screen when creating a new airport, If you hover over the pictures it shows correct text, but when you move your mouse around and hover over the words it shows something else…:
Sadly planes still stuck on the taxiway because of another blocked aircraft. And one plane is waiting for pushback since 3 hrs.
I will try it on a new game this weekend, but I don’t expect it different there.
Also planes taking a huge detour around the runway instead the option of runway crossings.
The good thing: medium planes now use large runways again.
Would you guys consider to re-open website based bug reporting (I think it was Atlassian?)? During beta there are many tiny and hard to catch bugs and sometimes in game bug report system is not enough to explain the situation, especially on capturing the issue with screenshot editor. There are some bugs that requires instant screenshot (like on a menu) or that requires multiple screenshots or that requires a video of it.
For example I had these 8 bugs before but I couldn’t report them via in game bug report system. With availability of website based reporting I can report them and many more of them. There are some nasty and like-to-hide bugs that are only catchable when I instantly click F12 screenshot key.
At the moment I’m dealing with massive traffic jams caused by catering trucks. They’re just refilling ~12% of the capacity at the depot which results in a constant swing forth and back between plane and depot.
I manually changed all the flights back to their original Slots. the next day I got a vulcano and all flights, for all days, where changed again…
I get, that the flights are delayed but the game should cancel some and don’t mess with all flights on the next days.
I order flights myself and don’t use the auto planner because I try to make a somewhere realistic airport so I manually add flights. And then to change it regularly because of those events is quite annoying.
Due to a scene conflict merge the effects of this issue were not activated with the build. We have reactivated the system and deployed a hotfix, same version number!
Catering trucks only load the ordered number of food. In real, every aircraft has different meals ordered and trucks cannot stay with 90% loaded food around in the sun.
Well I would suggest trying to look it up then, passengers clipping out of view like that is a common issue when you run the game on an under-powered GPU so it’s something that needs to be ruled out before you can move further with the issue!
If they won’t pre-fill their trucks, then they should be dispatched before the plane lands to fill their cargo and be ready for the job. Catering trucks can be a big problem.
