Airport CEO Beta 1 released

@Olof, any suggestions on how to remove “troublesome” old logos with the new setup for them? By troublesome, I mean an instance of where the logo would be under a boarding desk? I cannot delete it if it also falls under the parameters of the desk, without turning off the stand to disconnect the desk. I also cannot use the current logo system and CTRL-click to remove it, as the game processes it as a different object type. If I place a new logo over it, the old one still shows through the new one.

Just an idea; what if you remove the terminal block and then rebuild the boarding desk after? I dont think you have to close that stand for that.

@jasperwillem, Thanks, I’ve never heard of that. Just tried it though and it treated it as a usual deleting of an object. It wouldn’t let me go through with the action.

New bugs to report:

33880 - had a flight go into maintenance, but noticed the catering truck set to service it was still at the empty stand, while the plane is in the hanger (active in the flight planner still).

33881 - having a weird bug where ramp agents will leave the secure zone, then immediately re-enter it. They have no reason to exit the secure zone, as I make sure everything they need (rooms/jobs) are in the secure area.

33884 - if de-icing is no longer needed, and “cancelled” as a result of the temperature rising, I notice (only) GA flights give a notification that they were forced to takeoff without proper de-icing. Commercial aircraft do not have this problem.

ULD means “Unit Load Device”. It describes in the aviation world every loading device for aircrafts. Here in ACEO there are only containers for baggage. But in the real world ULD are also metal pallets on which aircargo is placed to be loaded in cargo aircrafts. ULD have standardized measurements.

Since the B1 update the Airline lounge screen shows only partial sentences.
Lounge is closed on reload and does not accept passengers after opening. ACEO-33886

I also noticed that the ‘Show all notifications’ button is still not functioning correctly. ACEO-33887

Hello together,

I’m not sure if this has been discussed before, but I think I’ve read it before. After I loaded a savegame, my negotiation have dropped back to zero. Does anyone have this bug too?
Yes, I have reported the bug (32992), but it’s not visible on Trello yet and i reported it a few weeks ago.

early access is for when the game has not been released. airport CEO has not yet been launched. for a program to be released it has alpha, beta, and the final version

I wonder why we are not allowed to add are own moded planes types into the workshop? why do you limit us? they are mods anyway…

This means that Tulip has the largest fleet in the game, 7 medium types and one large. Perhaps remove a couple of the medium ones to keep the variation to a manageable level?

I guess with all the planned planes coming in the next Betas, fleets might change again and/or at least one new airline has to join.

Correct. At the baggage bay, ramp agents load all baggage in ULDs. Max 5 ULD will be then carried to the large plane. That’s why you need there the large baggage loader (or correct, ULD loader)

Yes, we will add more liveries to all new aircraft over time, it will not be only Tulip flying the Fokker.

A longshot Olof, but will we be expecting any new airlines coming soon? I like the current selection of airlines, but they tend to lean towards Western-style liveries IMO. I know modded airlines have added a lot of Asian liveries, but I was wondering if we’d see some in vanilla.

Hey guys. Just a quick question. It’s about one-way doors. It was first planned for Alpha 34 with one-way roads, but was then scrapped (I guess) because of the pathfinding issues it would’ve created.

Wanted to know if the devs still have it on their to-do list or if its been scrapped altogether??

Plans for one-way doors have been scrapped because they would cause more issues with pathfinding than they would solve.

I’ve tried creating an Airport with completely segregated Arrivals and Departures, with a staff access door between the two. You would still need a PAX access door for those PAX whose flight has been cancelled (something that happens a lot more often since the ‘Emergency’ release) needing to exit the Airport, and a one-way door would be ideal in that situation.

The completely-segregated Airport is not on in ACEO as the PAX will insist on using toilets, cafes and other facilities that aren’t in the area they are being funnelled through…

I do always provide the passengers a way back up to the departure zone before and after passport control.
If the layout is correct, non of the passengers will every use it, but it’s better to have it as you write in the event of cancellations.
