Airport CEO Alpha 34 released (The R&D Update)

Isn’t that the point of the T2 scanners, to discern bags flagged as unknown by T1 scanners? If you directly send bags from T1 to T3 scanner, the T3 scanner security rating drops significantly, and chances are less skilled security officers would falsely flag bags.

I’ve run multiple setups, such as yours as well, and dangerous luggage seems to still find a way into the airplane. Makes me wish contrabands carry different fines amount,

I don’t think they flag as unknown… I think they are flagged to destroy. Anyways, I haven’t had a single warning. We’ll see what the devs say.

Assigning depots/parking/stand from the order form would be nice

The T2 should only receive bags that were flagged/rejected by T1. The baggage scanning ratings panel explains this.

You’re right. I didn’t drill into that panel. I’m getting the same notification now. Percentage is going up though so that’s nice.

Thanks all!

It was the extended commercial license which unlocked the medium aircraft permit (which had med runway, stand, etc)

A lot

So I ran a little experiment to see if I could fix the issue with the manual scanners incorrectly “green-lighting” contraband. I put a T1 scanner after my manual scan machine (T3) to see if I could kick the bad bags that have been identified (they are no longer unknown).

Well, unfortunately it didn’t work, as the T1 machine wouldn’t recognize that these bags have already been identified. It would routinely kick bags as “unknown” despite their status. The scanner would actually reset these already scanned bags. It would also kick baggage that wasn’t contraband, for some reason. Perhaps because it wasn’t meant to scan at this point in the line.

Hopefully we can rectify this with later updates. This was my attempt at removing “human” error from the equation, but clearly the scanners are not designed with this in mind.

That might explain some problems. My advice is trying default branch, disable the mods, then restart for experimental.

Yeah, I saw this a few days ago as well. It boggled me now I had thousands of luggage in my belt when I only have 3 medium stands, and that’s when I notice the T1 scanners keep resetting already scanned bags into “Unknown” and flagging them for further scanning.

Hello everyone! We’re back from a short weekend break with a first release of the week. Thank you for the discussions you’re having here and the bugs you’ve reported. Tomorrow we’ll be moving offices so most likely no update, but after that we’ll hopefully be able to get back to daily updates as we move closer towards a thorough stabilization.

I’m unable to click on zones in floors above ground level. Bug report submitted.

Since this evenings (experimental) update, two of us are getting an error “cannot allocate flight outside panel” when loading existing saves.

Auto planner is turned, off – all commercial ramps set to accept flights from all airlines. Ensured I advanced to a new day to ensure flight spaces were available.

The entire schedule bar has white background (as normal) – until I try to drag a new flight onto the schedule – then the entire background greys out as if an error in selection.

Going to try a new (quick) airport to see if it affects new (and yes, I understand it’s an experimental — just wanted to put a heads up here!)

I have the same problem and reported it, as well. I don’t know if the automatic flight scheduler still works, but I can’t manually schedule any flights.

I can’t schedule flights manual as well as last two forum members have said. I started brand new airport and it did not allow manual scheduling. Auto scheduler works just fine though.

Yea sorry about that. I missed a bool. Will fix and deploy a hotfix today.

I’m afraid, this hasn’t been solved…

Another new IMHO critical bug:
I can not select any clickable item inside my terminals at first floor or above. while on ground floor and below everything is as usual, clicking on any room/boarding desk/… doesn’t lead to anything, on these floors. No window for information/setting, nothing.
Outside objects like stands and buildings are still clickable from 1st/2nd floor, but no inside items/romms are.

anybody else facing this issue?

Yes also facing the same issues however due to hardware issues unable to log a fault.

I sent in a bug report on this last night.

I am trying out 34beta, following the introduction to get used to the new look and feel. Must say that this is the first airfield that GA is really working, they are satisfied and even bring in some money. I started commercial following the tutorial and I think I have done everything right… but after I build my first two small commercial stands and taking a contract, I am unable to allocate the flights. When I try to allocate them the available stands grey out and I get the message “You can’t allocate flights outside the panel”.
Is there something obvious I am doing wrong?
