Airport CEO Alpha 32 released (The Turnaround Update)

Question: Is it possible to consider linking the de-icing pad to the departure runway?

The issue is more that I have planes going to the de-icing pad on one side of the airport, and take off from the runway on the extreme end.

@JonnyT, I have that same problem. Alas, no solution at present.

They should prioritized de-icing stands near their departing runway’s runway entrance, if they’re not queued up by other aircraft. If you send in a bug report I can take a look at your setup and see if we can make behavioral improvements.

New update is scheduled to roll out tomorrow with both Alpha 31 and Alpha 32 fixes.

A little humor, if you will, along with the summer break, today we also have Stranger Things break. That’s why the update will only come tomorrow

Here we go, Alpha 32.7-0 is now available!

Release notes - Airport CEO - Version Alpha 32.7-0

Improvement

  • [ACEO-14939] - Added conveyor belt escalator direction guide icons
  • [ACEO-14942] - Added temperature modifier value based on airport location to avoid de-icing and cold weather coniditions in countries with traditionally warm climate

Bug

  • [ACEO-14508] - Improved tutorial step completion background color to better accommodate reading experience
  • [ACEO-14543] - Switching floor causes vehicle animations to reset
  • [ACEO-14559] - Trucks resupplying a certain depot can become stuck in a delivery loop as they do not correctly account for shipment relevancy
  • [ACEO-14577] - Pushback truck tow bar visible on lower ground floors
  • [ACEO-14868] - Fuel trucks perform a pirouette before exiting fuel depot
  • [ACEO-14872] - De-icing fluid depot panel incorrectly displays percentage symbol instead of fluid amount symbol
  • [ACEO-14898] - Assigned fuel truck at closed stand can in certain instances get stuck in a loop
  • [ACEO-14928] - Waste reduction calculation method for waste depots can cause garbage trucks to get stuck
  • [ACEO-14938] - Airport fees resets when loading a saved airport

Wait… Is this that weather update?

No, the temperature simulation was improved as of Alpha 32 (when launch)ed which in turn have made the rest of the weather simulation better as a lot of the precipitation amounts are determined with temperature as a key input value. ACEO-14942 basically makes sure that it will not get cold or snow in traditionally warm countries, which consequently means aircraft will not invoke a de-icing requests in those areas.

If it works that is, needs to be tested in mass with various airports around the world, which is why it’s on experimental now!

When the aircraft were first sent to the Small De-ing Pad, the temperature was sub-zero and De-icing Trucks were present. While awaiting de-icing, the temps rose above zero, the de-icing trucks went back to their depots, and the remaining aircraft were stranded. Debug (F10) nor save/reload clear the situation. The only way to clear this is to hack GameData.json for each individual plane, which takes a long time or remove ALL flights (also hacking GameData.json). When the sub-zero temps returned, no De-icing Truck went to the Pads.

When the temp goes above zero, all aircraft should be released to proceed to the departure runway.

Has anybody else experienced this? If so, please submit a bug report so the dev team has multiple examples from which to determine a cause and cure.

Fuel trucks perform a pirouette before exiting fuel depot

Oh, I really liked that feature.

I’m adding this here, because I cannot update the original bug report, ACEO-14963.

In this image, neither Cleaning Truck positions itself to clean the aircraft. The one one the left is full, but does not return to the waste depot to drop its load. Upon releasing the aircraft – it was already well beyond departure time – neither truck returned to the vehicle depot nor waste depot. When the next aircraft parked here, they did not move nor service the flight.

This has already been fixed via a hotfix update, same version number deployed an hour ago or so!

What about ACEO-14397? have you checked it yet can’t load my saved game.

This will be fixed for 32.7-1. Will take some time for them to all depart but give it a while and they’ll all get going after awhile.

… and this one too!

Does it happen everytime you load it or just this once?

I just reloaded the save and it looks like those pax that were standing in front of those seatings now leaving security area but are stuck after they past the security exit. Also there are alot of pax stuck outside the airport. When i send all passengers home most of them are still frozen
