I noticed that some planes are not “in-line” on medium stands. Is there a reason why some planes park somehow diagonal (especially the 757) ?
Maybe i am too accurate here, but it would be so nice if all planes are “in-line”.
In my opinion, the look of not perfectly lined up airplanes is a bit weird to me, as we do not have any curved construction items. All builadble stuff is straight with no curves or angles (would love to see this like in Cities Skylines ) IRL many Airports do have terminals which are build more or less with angles and curves and the stands are adapted to the buildung (e.g Hamburg Airport).
I did not know that it is a feature. Is every plane randomly (e.g. the A320 has 6 different angles and the BAE146 has 5) or just the whole fleet (e.g. all planes have for example 8 different angles) ? That would explain why the 757 is never “lined-up” in my opinion.
Furthermore i noticed that the 757 looks a bit too big for the medium stand for me.
And what about the small stands ? maybe the player will be able to choose this option for each stand.
Don´t get me wrong, i do not want to make a huge discussion out of it, it is just my feeling while i am playing this game.
It’s a “feature” as we don’t have any hard set points for aircraft once they’re parked, i.e. they park “organically” and reach their final position by following an estimate of a pre-defined path. However, in some cases where the FPS is low, the accuracy of that path can vary a lot. We’ve overhauled a lot of the paths for vehicles and done some changes to the stand designs for Alpha 33 so this is not something we’ll look into at this point, but rather post Alpha 33.
