Suggestions to handle pathfinding errors

Also, here is a suggestion in case of the object pathfinding error is occurring.

I know the developers are working really hard on the pathfinding algorithm. But sometimes an object may still get stuck on its way to a destination.

There is a ‘ridiculous’ button called “send home” in the game SimAirport. And it’s used to unfreeze every stuck object. However, when you just ‘sent home’ the first object, the second object behind it will fill the same spot where the first object gets stuck. Therefore, you have to click “Send home” button again and again until the last object in the queue is removed.

Sometimes you will spend the whole day (in the game) to click that button and send those DAMN* passengers home. And I would say that drastically ruined the gameplay experience and it SUCKS for real.

Seriously, I would suggest the developers create a short-cut method to remove a larger amount of stuck objects OR make AI smarter, as they will avoid to queue behind a stuck object

Reset all objects at the end of the day in the game can also be an alternative method, and it makes them look like they “have gone home” at night.

I would advise not making suggestions about game play mechanics you haven’t tried :slight_smile:
You are trying to fix a problem another game has while there is no indication this game has the same problem :slight_smile:

I know this game is not released, but it’s possible that we might have this bug, so this is just a “for your information” post I was trying to take an example to illustrate my idea if it really happens in the future.
