[Solved] Bug: Deleted Save Game Files Reappear vers 24.4

Steps to replicate:

  1. Go to Save directory C:\Users*USER*\AppData\Roaming\Apoapsis Studios\Airport CEO\Saves
  2. Delete save files. Allow the Saves directory to remain displayed
  3. Start Airport CEO game
    Results: watch the directory. Each of the deleted save game files is restored.
  4. In ACEO menu, select Continue Game
    Results: all the deleted games are listed

I started playing ACEO beginning with ver 24.3-2. The bug was there too

Isn’t it the steam cloud that does this?

I think your files are saved on the cloud each time you close the game and when you start steam compares them to the files on your pc. If they don’t match steam downloads them to your pc. At least that’s how I think it works

You are correct. I turned off Steam synchronization. Deleted the files. Restarted the game. The deleted files stayed deleted.
