FORUM GAME: Aviation Trivia!

No, unfortunately 10 hours is not a number in the regulations.

To everyone as a bonus, what is the maximum number of hours a pilot is allowed to fly in a year?

last try… 8 for a single pilot, 10 for multi-crew. Total hours of 1400 p.a.?

Isn’t it like 12 or 14 hours? Often times, trips exceeding something of this nature has 2 pilots and and/or 2 copilots. The flight crew will then methodically move around until the relief crew is flying, if I recall correctly.

its 10 or 14, 10 in the netherlands i think, 14 for emirates at least

According to FAA regulation 121.485 you need 3 pilots - as well as sleeping accomodations - for a flight that lasts for more than 12 hours.

A pilot may only fly 1000 hours per year.
