Hello, I’ve already posted the idea in ideas section, now I post it here.
It’s pretty old, so I’ll say now more clear I would like to assign different items, for example not plane stand but concrete medium stand.
Reviving in case someone would be interested.

A better way to do this is to default to whatever the item last used was. This works well in games like OpenTTD (excellent open source transport tycoon game: www.openttd.org ) for rail-types where there are multiple different types of rail (regular, electrified, monorail, maglev).
So if the last type of taxiway I used was concrete, next time I press the taxiway button it’ll automatically do concrete. If I want to change it I hover over the taxiway icon and the usual menu pops up.
