If anyone is wondering, the fact that this works is 100% accidental I just happened to code it in a way that everything works. Since I am so deep in Mod Loader development no updates will occur to Custom Buildables before the ML is released, but that version already has the error message removed
I’d also like to thank @faebue for their massive amount of work on modding both for CB and for modding as a whole! Its really making a difference
Maybe I’m missing something but the external download linked on the steam pages, leads to a very confusing wiki/forum page for the product but I can’t find the actual download for the standalone add-on manager? Very confused?
For the mod loader or for Custom Buildables? For Custom Buildables all you have to do is subscribe, but for the Mod Loader go to the release page and download your version…
If you could tell me what was specifically confusing that would be great. I’ve worked with this system for so long in dev that I’m used to it so its hard to write a very easy to understand guide. You got here?
Thanks - It’s for the mod loader, what is needed to be downloaded and installed outside of the steam workshop library? The links seem to just lead to a quite cluttered mod tool forum unless I’ve overlooked something.
You want the link to the GitHub page, and that links to the install instructions. Then all you have to do is follow them. If you see the workshop page, there is now a video with a visual walkthrough of how to download for windows steam users. But the first two steps show how to get to the install instructions, which are provided for every platform
Another Floor update:
Since the last update changed my technique for the carpet look. The older Mods will or have already become the new carpet layover.
CommuteAir (Floor)
pattern 4x4
(the pattern picture shows the new still, but the in game picture still the old)
hi there!
How do I install the mod if I’m playing an non-Steam version?
I installed Mod Loader and I read I have to Just copy the .ddl file of each mod I what to add but I’m not sure how to do it.
If you go to the top of this topic there is a link to the GitHub page, where you can download the dll under the releases section. A bigger issue will be getting custom Buildable mods themselves. For that either contact me, a modding group member, or the mod creator on discord and we can get the files to you. Or you can use a tool like Steam CMD (Google how to download steam workshop mods without the game) to do it yourself
