Try downgrading the Jetway, remove the zone in the door on the second floor.
After a long time I finally found time to play some AirportCEO. Here are issues I have found and some suggestions so far (game is on sandbox)
3. The most time consuming construction is 1x1 sidewalk construction. My suggestion is that 1 contractor should be able to construct 16 sidewalk tiles at once. If there are 15 or less, 15 contractors should build them like how it is atm
7. There are unaccessible locations for contractors. Contractors somehow should be able to access these places.
That’s all for today
The map normally does show that.
Not sure how to submit a report for this so I made a video - Sandbox settings get messed up when you change logo.
There is an update for the sandbox settings waiting to be part of the next patch. May that will solve some issues. Best is to check again after the next patch is out and report it in case if it still exists.
Ahhh OK, great. I check Trello periodically but had missed that. Thanks! Back to the game
good idea but there is no door on the second floor. Seperated by walls and openings for the jetway.
tried making a single door there but didn’t work. Still on giant zone
Corollary to this, building fencing is also a pain.
Agree. 4 pieces of fence should be built by 1 contractor.
I understand your point, but construction should in my eyes be a slow process. The problem for me is therefore not that sidewalks (and fences) are build slowly, but that all other blocks are build too fast.
The construction goes fast. The annoying thing is, that they have to run back to the delivery site for each block they have to build.
Workers could be more efficient, if we had builders, carriers and demolishers.
Smaller blocks are built faster than large blocks so that’s not the issue. I believe we should have some new golfcart style vehicle driving accross the field and terminal to bring construction material from the dropoff to the construction work. Also larger objects like stands, runways, etc should require more than one construction crate.
For larger objects you do get more than one worker carrying crates to the construction site. You get two workers with a crate each to build a medium check-in desk, and between 5 and 7 for a medium stand, for instance…
Do you already build Material drops all over the map?
And vice versa
Hello everyone! We’re finally back from the weekend with an update on beta 2. This update contains large changes to vehicle rendering which should improve rendering performance at night (a lot of work under the hood but no immediate cosmetic changes) but perhaps more notably the overhauled weather system.
We’ll drop a dev blog tomorrow digging into this system overhaul a bit more, but in short we’re happy to announce that the new weather system is built around the concept of actual world data. A combination of realizing that the ability in ACEO to place your airport anywhere in the world is absolutely horrible from a weather generation perspective and, after years of searching, finally finding a service that could provide us with qualitative weather data has enabled us to build a system that draws inspiration from cumulative origin multi-point location environment x-trapolation, which should ultimately prevent de-icing being invoked if you place your airport somewhere in Africa.
Please note that this system is HIGHLY experimental as part of this release and will most likely contain numerous bugs which will be patched tomorrow. Currently, in order to test the system, we have about 10 data points spread out across the world which means that the resolution is very low, i.e. you may still get some really weird weather depending on where you place your airport (we expect the final version to have around 30 which will increase the accuracy).
This build is also missing a range of feature improvements that will be used by this system, such as the ground texture not becoming green grass if you you play in Greenland and local climate data being exposed in the main menu as you select your airport’s location. These will be implemented before Wednesday.
Here’s the full log for this version, with this major hurdle past we will now start deploying daily updates again. As mentioned, a dev blog with a status update will drop tomorrow!
Release notes - Airport CEO - Version Beta 2.1-0
Bug
- [ACEO-33821] - Medium aircraft not reliably using larger runways
- [ACEO-34464] - Only the select all option works for sandbox settings
- [ACEO-34568] - Main menu aircraft graphics incorrect
New feature
- [ACEO-33362] - New liveries for Saab 340B (Strada Regional, Forrest Air and Coast 2 Coast)
- [ACEO-34620] - Added new graphics settings to lower edge smoothing resolution and allow for better rendering performance on lower end computers
Improvement
- [ACEO-28432] - Overhauled weather simulation
- [ACEO-34587] - Separated copy-paste mode from save template mode in sub panel for more user friendly access
- [ACEO-34619] - Combined vehicle sprites to further drastically reduce drawcalls during night and improve rendering performance
- [ACEO-34755] - New airline: Coast 2 Coast
No, they get stuck or frozen. To the point where I have to reload the game. I am familiar with planes waiting for animals to get out of the way. It doesn’t happen to every aircraft, maybe just 5%. The other 95% wait for the animals to clear out and then move again
ACEO-34806 - Items copied with the copy/paste tool don’t retain the correct orientation.
Cool stuff.
Will there be a new ground texture for hot and dry regions? Like sand?
Or a tropical one?
