Panam got a MD11 instead of DC10
The ACEO Modding group presents another group project Apoapsis Airlines and its regional subsidiary Periapsis Airlines
@dawed Canāt help but notice your thing for older airlines and colours. Might I suggest these please?
Fantastic colour schemes in one image! The classic yellow SQ lines and the silver QF bird in the backas well!
In ACEO, you wouldnāt see the yellow line of the Singapore Airline as the part below the window is not visible.
Oh yeah! Forgot all about that. Suppose it makes it easier? Iād do it myself to do the text part of the job, itās just the tail thatās agonising as Iām not sure how to skew and shrink it to the vertical view.
perhaps a bit of āartisitc licenseā could be granted.
I can do a historical version no problems.
Thank you! Iām pretty much using your SIA aircraft in every airport I run. If I had the skills to do the tails properly Iād honestly do it myself! I love how you wrap the text properly round the nosecones.
Iāve got this poster kicking around somewhere if itās any help to you. Itās the fleet as of the airlineās 50th Anniversary. As much as the new gold lines and large titles are nice, I do love how they used to name aircraft. 743 - Big Top, 744 - MegaTop, 777 Jubilees.
Would love to see a higher res version of that.
Thank you so much too.
I used to have it up in my room as a teenager, but took it down when I moved a few years ago. Found this version on eBay for an exorbitant amount! Iāve just nearly vomited at the pricetag this is going for! Iām not sure if I should pull it out of storage and keep it on the wall again or stick the bugger on eBay now!
According to my mum who was working at Singapore Airlines at the time, she said these used to be given out at school visits to encourage students to join the industry.

Oh yes, Iād love that 1974 didnāt happen and BOAC and BEA were still individual entities and were still going concerns.
I would imagine then using the following in-game aircraft in their 1974 liveries:
BEA: CRJ-200/700 and A319/20/21; A350-900 [BEA had a long-standing tradition of working with home-grown aircraft manufacturers, so Iād imagine a liaison with Airbus for the larger medium fleet]
BOAC: B757-200; B787-10, B787-8, B777-300, B747-400
Iāve had a look at the Modding guide and downloaded the MDKs, my main difficulty is doing the cheat line along the windows, and also the BEA livery had the wing central panels painted redā¦
@talisman56 Iām getting VC-10 vibes off this 787ā¦
Cheatline isnāt too bad along the windows if you do them in the psd files. The windows are a separate layer.
Iāve thought a few times of doing that particular BOAC. Yes I can believe they were given out and now priced somewhat.
I have a pic of a BOAC I took; Oh wait is it?
I also have something that was given away and the value is going like thatā¦ I thought I had thrown them away. Yes I have all of the missions and quite a few Space Shuttle ones too.
Thanks for that tip. Iām messing about with GIMP at the moment - must get some more time to find out how to actually use itā¦
Is that a BEA crew car in the picture of the Viccy?
Need to be a better person than me to get that tail done! Iāve nearly thrown this out getting the cheatline to curl round the cockpit. Hope this gives you an idea, unless @Rubble is able to lend a hand with the tail or polishing this up.
@Rubble As if you got a signed photo of the Apollo crew! Thatās amazing!
NASA used to send them to you if you wrote and asked them. I was not around during those times, but I wrote, and got in the post.
I know what itās like to work on getting tails done, they can be a pain.
Makes you wonder if SpaceX and NASA are going to keep this up! Have I missed anything? Iāve sort of found a ācheatā to get the cheatlines correct-ish, just have no idea how or where to start on the tail!
Multiply is your friend.
I watch the the launches and keep a eye on Star Ship as well. Space X are working crazy time on this.
some of that liveries we put on our todo list allready
